About PDI

ASMC has received the OUSD(C) Waiver for PDI 2023, which can be reviewed here.

ASMC’s PDI 2023 will offer 100+ sessions (including general sessions, mini-courses, and workshops) that will focus on defense financial management competency areas. Speakers will discuss current issues in DoD and US Coast Guard financial management operations. Mini-courses will provide participants the opportunity to obtain direct credit toward meeting certain DoD FM Certification requirements at Levels 2 and 3.

ASMC will offer more than enough CPEs to re-certify for CDFM and DFMCP Certifications. CPEs include in-person sessions, virtual live-streamed sessions through the platform, and recorded session content available post-PDI. A standard 75-minute workshop will be eligible for 1.5 CPE credits. Regarding NASBA credit, we are currently working to review and qualify which sessions meet the NASBA requirements and will announce those sessions that are NASBA qualified prior to PDI. Some in-person sessions will meet the NASBA qualifications for crediting, but unfortunately, we will not be able to offer NASBA credit for virtual sessions or recordings due to their requirements.

Virtual Access to PDI 2023

Registered virtual attendees will have a selection of seven workshops or mini-courses per session as well as access to all General Sessions. Instructions on how to access the virtual platform will be sent approximately two weeks prior to PDI 2023.

In order to have the best possible Virtual experience, ASMC recommends:
  • Virtual attendees attend PDI from home to avoid possible DoD firewall restrictions.
  • Use a non-DoD device for viewing PDI.
  • Use a desktop or laptop computer and Google Chrome internet browser. Other browsers supported include Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. If you are using an older browser, like Internet Explorer, please upgrade to one of the browsers above for best experience.
  • To download Google Chrome internet browser for free: click here
  • NASBA restrictions on virtual engagement prevent ASMC from offering NASBA credit to virtual attendees during or after PDI 2023.

Post PDI 2023 Access

  • All attendees registered PRIOR TO THE CONFERENCE will be able to earn the maximum credit by reviewing additional session content (via audio recordings from PDI 2023) that could not be attended during the conference. This content will be available approximately three weeks after the conclusion of PDI until February 2, 2023.

Please Note: You MUST register for PDI either in-person or virtually to obtain access to the recorded content.

Course Attendance & CPE Information

For the first time this year, ASMC will utilize Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) for session monitoring to track program attendance at PDI 2023. You must be registered for PDI and wear your name badge for the entirety of the conference. It is required to enter each session within five minutes of the start time, and you must stay for the full class to be eligible for credit. Name badges must be easily visible during all event sessions.

Information regarding the eligibility and earning of CPE credits is detailed in ASMC’s PDI 2023 platform. Please refer to the CPE Credit tab in the left side navigation bar on the home screen of the platform.

NASBA Statement

ASMC is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have the final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding sponsors may be addressed to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, 150 Fourth Avenue North, Suite 700, Nashville, TN 37219-2417, www.nasba.org

Please Note: Due to strict NASBA requirements, NASBA credits cannot be awarded to virtual attendees or attendees watching post-PDI recordings.
