Special Events

Registration for special events is part of the registration process.

PDI 2023 Community Service Project: Community Lifeline & Family Resource Center of East St. Louis (Tuesday, May 30, 2023 @ 12 PM - 4 PM)

Community Lifeline’s mission is to rebuild communities from the inside out with comprehensive programs and community partnerships designed to transform the lives of urban youth and families through Education, Health, Economics and Community Development.

Volunteers will prepare supplies for those in need.


Economy Museum at the St. Louis FED Tour (2 Tour Options: Tuesday May 30, 2023 @ 9:15 AM - 10:45 AM OR 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM)

The award-winning Economy Museum at the St. Louis Fed will immerse you in a one-of-a-kind experience that explores the economy and money in a fun and interactive way.

Boeing Production Facility Tour (Tuesday May 30, 2023 @ 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM)

Boeing St. Louis, is Missouri’s largest manufacturer and fourth largest employer, with approximately 14,000 employees who work at three facilities in the across the St. Louis region. Home to Boeing’s Air Dominance division, a number of military aircraft and weapons systems are produced in St. Louis including the F-15 Eagle and the MQ-25 Stingray. Production line tours of these two programs, as well as the Boeing Prologue Room, an air & space history museum will be available for 100 participants.

A few rules for all tour participants:
• All visitors must be pre-registered and approved.
• No cameras, video recorders or camera-enabled devices are permitted on property (they will need to left on the bus).
• Safety glasses must be worn at all times in factory buildings. These will be distributed on the bus.
• All foot wear in production areas must be factory footwear; sturdy, low-heeled shoes with closed toe and heel.
• Stay within marked walkways and crosswalks unless you are escorted by your host into a production area. Observe and obey posted signs. Be aware of moving vehicles, cranes, moving equipment and other potential hazards around you.

The tour is limited to the first 90 people.

Early Arrivers Reception (Tuesday, May 30, 2023 @ 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM)

Arriving early to St. Louis before PDI officially kicks of on Wednesday? Join your fellow defense financial management peers for the Early Arrivers Reception. The reception will be held at the 2nd floor atrium at America's Center. Indicate your attendance for the reception during the registration process, or log back in to sign up!


CDFM Reception (Wednesday, May 31 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM)

We love to celebrate our certificants and invite all active and retired CDFMs and CDFM-As to join us on Wednesday, May 31, from 6:30pm-8:00pm in the Majestic Ballroom at the Marriott Grand St. Louis. Come let us treat you to a complimentary beverage of your choice, light appetizers, and a small gift of appreciation while you enjoy live background music!

Registration is not required but helps us estimate catering needs. CDFM Reception registration can be made when registering for PDI. If you have already registered for PDI and would like to add the reception to your itinerary, follow the directions to your attendee portal via your PDI confirmation email. 75th Jubilee Celebration at Ballpark Village (Thursday, June 1 from 6:30 – 9:30 PM)

Let's party like it's 1948! Join in the fun and celebrate ASMC's 75th anniversary with fellow defense financial management professionals. The night will include a cake cutting ceremony (as well as eating of cake!), speeches, the opportunity to tour the Hall of Fame Museum (the Cardinals Museum boasts one of the largest team-specific collections of artifacts and memorabilia in the world), and so much more. Plus, the St. Louis Cardinals' own FredBird may just make an appearance as well! Our celebration will take place in the Bud Brewhouse and rodeo bar and Bally's Sports Live. We'll be in Ballpark Village (not the actual ballpark itself), so get ready for some ballpark cuisine to celebrate!

Ballpark Village has played a pivotal role in the revitalization of downtown St. Louis and has been recognized for its quality, scale, creative design and impact on the community. It was the result of a unique public-private partnership between the City, State and Federal Governments. Professional sports teams across the country are using Ballpark Village, which created a new year-round gathering place that is active both day and night, as a model in enhancing the sports experience.

The dress code for the evening is appropriate business or business casual attire.
